Celia Tennant, reflects on winning and being a finalist in two recent awards which recognise Inspiring Scotland's family friendly and flexible approach.

For me, a flexible approach is the common sense approach and I am delighted that this was recognised by the Institute of Directors at their most recent Awards.  We successfully won the Director of the Year for Family Friendly and Flexible Working, sponsored by the Scottish Government and also at Scotland’s Top Employers Awards where we were a finalist.

Pro bono is worth celebrating

This week (19 - 25th October) is pro bono week.   A week which  celebrates the pro bono ethic across all professions and the positive difference this then makes to society.

Every year thousands of people around the world volunteer their professional expertise in marketing, legal services, HR, strategy and IT to support charities.  Although more widely celebrated in the US, we think the level and impact of our pro bono supporters justifies us marking it too.
