CMS Cameron McKenna LLP is a Top 10 global law firm with over 3,000 legal professionals around the world and a real and meaningful commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility throughout their global footprint. At Inspiring Scotland, CMS is a key legal pro bono supporter for our charities.

Chris Rae, partner in the Glasgow office, is highly committed to making sure the team there delivers on their corporate pledge to devote a minimum of 50 hours a year towards CSR initiatives. In the last year, Chris has been the first point of contact for a variety of charities requiring help with their leases.

Most recently Chris’s meticulous and very thorough advice to a new charity, Movement Park, caught them just as they were poised to sign what could only be described as a very landlord friendly lease.

Firstly, please accept my sincere thanks for all your advice regarding the Movement Park lease. This is exactly the type of input and expertise that we need if the charity is to have any chance of meeting our vision. We are a little inexperienced in this area, to say the least, so we must get this 100% right before entering into ANY agreement.

Stephen, Movement Park Convenor

Chris has consistently given very astute advice and he clearly understands the pressures third sector organisations work under.

CMS have also delivered a bespoke employment law seminar, headed by Gillian MacLellan, and attended by a number of Inspiring Scotland ventures staff.

I just wanted to give my feedback on the training workshop -  I thought that it was one of the best I have been to.  It was great to get such a good overview of Employment Law and  if future training was offered I would definitely be interested in attending.

Richie, Operations Manager, Tullochan

The CMS team are eminently approachable, very thorough and professional and deliver prompt responses to pro bono requests which is an a very valuable resource to the Inspiring Scotland Pro Bono Program.
