Concrete Garden

Part of Organised Outdoor Community Play Fund

Concrete Garden is a trusted, community anchor organisation with a proven record of community-led action and accomplishment. Their work, based in the heart of Possilpark in Glasgow, centres around their vision for a community where everyone has an equal opportunity to be happy, healthy, and thriving.

To achieve this, they work hand in hand with the community to build outdoor spaces where all can connect with nature and each other, and where people can work, play, learn and grow together. They are supported by 109 volunteers and deliver over 400 activities each year, including cookery, gardening, outdoor play, community meals, crafts, carpentry, health and well-being workshops and community-based training.

Inspiring Scotland Community Outdoor Play fund is supporting them to increase their outdoor play staff hours, enabling them to work with more children while following the all relevant health and safety and social distancing guidelines.
