Neill Patton

Neill Patton

Neill has over 15 years’ experience working with communities around Scotland, supporting them to design and develop ideas, action plans, groups and organisations.  

He is passionate about the difference being part of a community can make in people’s lives. And the power of communities working together to make local, national and international change happen.   

Neill has recently returned to the Link Up team where he previously worked as the project coordinator for the Kilmarnock project for eight years. In his new place-based coordinator role, his team are supporting projects in Gallatown (Kirkcaldy), Saltcoats and Muirhouse (Edinburgh) to build partnerships and collaborations with organisations from the public, third and private sectors to create sustained long term change in these areas.   

Neill also has interest in the film and the creative arts, having worked for a variety of film festivals as a programmer and producer and was the director of Cinemor77 a small community cinema social enterprise which toured a yurt cinema around Scotland and supported communities to develop community cinemas in their area.
