The Creative Communities Glasgow programme is funded by the Glasgow Communities and Place Fund (GCPF) as part of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. £745,000 was awarded to fund community-based participatory arts projects in Glasgow between August 2023 and March 2025.
Creative Communities Glasgow aims to support and empower communities to develop cultural activities. The programme will distribute funds to community organisations located within Glasgow Local Authority area to develop initiatives involving culture and creative arts. The programme is based on the premise that cultural activity has broad, interlinked benefits for people and communities, and that a participatory approach can lead to greater impact and drive unexpected outcomes. Support is focused on communities who face barriers to engaging with cultural activities.
This fund closed for applications on 30 June 2023. All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by mid-August.
