Thrive Outdoors

Dumfries Toy Library

Part of Organised Outdoor Community Play Fund.

Dumfries Toy Library operate play services for young children and their parents from a Family Centre in North West Dumfries. They are a gateway service delivering early intervention and prevention in partnership with other third sector organisations and the local authority.

They aim to provide an inclusive and thriving environment where children and families can access services and support that promote health and wellbeing.

They are a welcoming, friendly, homely hub where families can come together to build relationships and get support from professionals and peers.

All children’s learning is built round play, mainly free play and child led. Staff role model positive interaction and quality play opportunities to benefit the child’s all round development and wellbeing and to support parents learning.
