Funded by the Scottish Government, and supported by Inspiring Scotland, the Survivors of Childhood Abuse Support (SOCAS) 2024 Fund provides funding for 22 third sector organisations supporting adult survivors of childhood abuse.
The aim of the £3.345m fund is for survivors to enjoy a safe and healthy life, with improved wellbeing and builds on the success of the SOCAS 2020-24 Fund.
The SOCAS 2024 Fund has two key outcomes:
Argyll and Bute Rape Crisis (ABRC) provide free and confidential support and advocacy to survivors of all genders (aged 12 +) who have experienced rape, sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse, sexual harassment, sexual bullying, stalking and commercial sexual exploitation. They also offer support to non-abusing partners and family members of survivors of sexual violence. ABRC
