Support in the Right Direction
East Renfrewshire Carers Centre provides carers and Health and Social Care Partnership staff with information, advice and training on self-directed support to improve the use of creative self-directed support options to meet the outcomes of carers. This also involves understanding the cared-for person’s needs and supports required. Carers are supported through the Adult Carers Support Plan process with ongoing support and informal advocacy where necessary and peer support is facilitated. East Renfrewshire Carers Centre supports all carers but also targets parent carers to help them to access self-directed support options.
