Support in the Right Direction
Equal Say provides independent advocacy for people aged between 18 to 64 years in North and South Lanarkshire to uphold their rights relating to self-directed support. This includes information about social care and self-directed support, help to explore options and make informed decisions, support through the assessment and planning process and accessing community organisations. This supports people to fully understand and participate in the process by supporting and strengthening their voice, improving their understanding of self-directed support and building their confidence to make choices and speak for themselves where possible. Equals Say supports all social care users between 18 and 64 years who find advocating for themselves difficult but also targets young people transitioning from children to adult services and people with addictions.
