Support in the Right Direction
Glasgow Centre for Inclusive Living provides pre-assessment support with social care and self-directed support in Glasgow, South Lanarkshire and East Dunbartonshire. This includes information provision; awareness raising workshops; 1:1 assessment preparation sessions and budget information, advice and support; informal advocacy support; support to connect to local activities; enhanced payroll support; and PA employer training. GCIL provides support to all social care users and also facilitates person-centred planning groups around transitions, young people leaving school and other subsequent milestones.
Today (Thursday 27 February 2025) the Support in the Right Direction fund team launched a report focusing on the last round of funding, which ended in March 2024, and lasted almost six years.
