With OFN investment, Yipworld delivers an outreach youth work model to vulnerable young people aged 16-25 years old in rural communities across East Ayrshire. With a focus on improving health and wellbeing (particularly mental health) young people are assisted to progress towards positive action and ultimately to sustainable employment. In addition to providing support to individuals, families will also be engaged in a social prescribing model of assistance to help them raise their aspirations as a family unit. Staff will work in partnership with community-based organisations and mentor young people and adults, helping to build their confidence and gain the essential skills to become active citizens in their community and beyond.
