The Survivors of Childhood Abuse Support (SOCAS) fund 2024 is now open for applications.
The aim of the fund is for adult survivors of childhood abuse to enjoy a safe and healthy life, with improved wellbeing, and feel an increased sense of safety and trust with their support and relationships.
Funded by Scottish Government, the application process is managed by Inspiring Scotland.
The SOCAS fund aligns with the Scottish Government’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy (2023) and the Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy Delivery Plan.
You can view the SOCAS 2024 Fund Logic Model here.
This new SOCAS fund follows the success of the SOCAS 2020 – 2024 fund.
The purpose and overall aim of the fund is for survivors to live a safe and healthy life, with improved wellbeing. We recognise that support can come in a range of different forms to respond to the diverse needs associated with childhood abuse.
Funding will strengthen existing third sector organisations which support adult survivors of childhood abuse. This fund aims to sustain and build upon current service provision. Priority will be given to programmes of work which continue and/or improve an existing service for adult survivors of childhood abuse.
