The Building Brighter Futures Fund (BBFF) aims to support the most disadvantaged young people furthest from the labour market by providing opportunities to gain the skills and confidence to succeed through education, training and employment, throughout Scotland. The BBFF is funded by Hub Community Foundation (HCF) and managed by Inspiring Scotland.
The current phase of the Building Brighter Futures Fund runs from June 2022 – June 2024 and will support 8 charities from the previous phase. In the first six months, 469 young people were supported.
The first phase of Building Brighter Futures Fund ran from July 2018 – June 2022 and invested 1.3 million into 10 charities supporting young people, aged 12 to 21, into employment, education or training.
Aberdeen Foyer provides housing support to young people aged 16 years and over in crisis situations. This core service is complemented by a holistic range of programs including money management, employability initiatives and counselling.
