Our Future Now Midpoint Fund Report

This report celebrates reaching the midpoint of Inspiring Scotland’s 10-year fund – Our Future Now (OFN).

The midpoint report of the Our Future Now fund reveals in five years the fund has supported almost 25,000 young people worst affected by the past five years with over 62% successfully secured an employability outcome of work, education, training or volunteering.

The fund achieves this by making financial and non-financial investment to a portfolio of 12 voluntary sector organisations active across Scotland.

The young people involved in Our Future Now experience barriers to education, training and employment including low confidence, anxiety, mental health issues and challenges at school. These issues can be exacerbated by family and home life, poverty and wider health, and wellbeing challenges.

The fund value has totalled £45m making it the only third sector collaborative and long-term investment programme operating in Scotland at this scale and meeting the needs of a unique group of young people. Inspiring Scotland has raised investment from public and private sources using an investment model that multiplies the value of every pound invested.
