Duncan MacKechnie

Duncan MacKechnie

Having started a long and varied career on the fishing boats around Oban and Mallaig, Duncan’s hard-working attitude and strong team spirit make him a great fit for Inspiring Scotland.

Duncan went on to have a long and extensive career in banking and insurance where he held many senior roles in sales, distribution, compliance, marketing and latterly as Managing Director of Direct Line.

Duncan brings this wealth of business experience to his Inspiring Scotland role along with the ability to motivate people. In addition, he has worked in a results-driven environment all his life, which serve him well in supporting charities across Inspiring Scotland’s Funds to do extraordinary things.

In his spare time, Duncan enjoys walking with his Border Collie and holidays in Italy.
