Joe has spent most of his career in the private equity industry, where he has held a wide range of executive positions.
Joe began his career with 3i, was founding managing director of Royal Bank Development Capital, and held subsequent positions as Investment director with The Benfield Group and Gulf Finance House.
With so much of his experience is private equity, Joe is well aware that the provision of support to young and growing businesses is essentially about backing people and – people running the business should be ambitious in their aspirations for growth.
Joe is interested in the Inspiring Scotland model, particularly the tailored support packages, rigorous monitoring of performance, and provision of further, non-financial support – all of which chime with Joe’s experience in private equity.
He is delighted to be given the opportunity to help Inspiring Scotland achieve its own objectives of maximising the social impact for every pound invested in its target sector.
