Sally has 20 years of experience in the voluntary sector building services that uphold the rights of children and young people with additional support needs and their families. She joins Inspiring Scotland after 15 years at Children in Scotland where she managed its national additional support for learning services and used their evidence to campaign for change and improvement. Sally brings a breadth of knowledge of policy related to disability and children’s services and of working alongside partners to support policy and practice development.
Sally is passionate about supporting the communication needs of individuals having started her career as a member of the care staff team at a deaf school and going on to study Deaf culture.
Sally is also a trustee for Flexible Childcare Services Scotland and Chair of her local Scout Group.
