Equally Safe is Scotland’s strategy to prevent and eradicate violence against women and girls. It was developed by the Scottish Government and COSLA and sets out a vision of a strong and flourishing Scotland where all individuals are equally safe and respected, and where women and girls live free from all forms of violence and abuse and the attitudes that help perpetuate it.
Delivering Equally Safe is the Scottish Government’s funding programme to support third sector organisations and public bodies contribute to the objectives, priorities and outcomes of the Equally Safe Strategy.
In 2021 the Scottish Government’s Delivering Equally Safe fund committed £38 million initially over two years to 121 projects focused on providing vital support to survivors, and on essential work to tackle gender-based violence through preventative measures. The fund has since been extended to run from October 2021 to March 2025.
Delivering Equally Safe funding is managed by Inspiring Scotland on behalf of the Scottish Government.
